I'm a very sweet 7-9 month old Catahoula/terrier mix, with one blue eye. I love my owner, but he has become homeless and he needs to find me a home quickly. I'm housetrained and get along with kids. I have a alpha-female personality, so I'd do better with male dogs. I'm not sure about cats, because I've never lived with them. I know "don't beg" and "go lay down". I met some very nice people at Walgreens on Line Ave. while shopping in the store for a few things and trying to stay out of the heat. One of them, Rachel, took me to South Shreveport Animal Hospital where Dr. Calahan and Dr. Squires have been taking care of me for about a week. It's nice and I've learned lots of things like how to walk on a leash and not to potty indoors. I had to get some vaccines, a bath and a few skin treatments to stay here, but now I'm up to date and healthier than I've ever been. You will not believe my story! It's a sad one. Me and several other emaciated dogs were found rummaging through a trash pile by a run down home. This really nice lady stopped to see us and I was the only one who would come to her. I was hungry, thirsty, and tired. She scooped me up and took me home. The man at the home said he couldn't take care of all of us... so, I guess he decided he would just let us fend for ourselves. The nice lady gave me doggie shots and dewormed me. She gave me lots of food and now, I feel and look much better. I appear to be 3-4 months old and a hound mix of some sort. I have super-long legs too. I'm great with kids, other dogs, and even cats. I travel good in a car and I sleep in a doggy bed in the office of my rescuer's home. She'd love to keep me, but she's already got several rescues. I'm a stunning 4-5 year old Boxer. My owners have to find me a new home because right now, they live in an apartment and are soon moving into a house with no fence. I'm not an apartment dog and need more room to roam. I'd love a home with a jogger or daily walker so that I can get exercise. A boxer lover would be ideal! I've lived with my current owner for about 3 years. I was originally rescued from the pound. I'm used to staying home for up to 6 hours without an accident... so, I am housetrained. I'm not destructive (I'm past all that). My owner has 3 children who I love... so, I get along with kids just fine. Male dogs intimidate me... 'cause I am an alpha dog... but I'd probably do fine with a female dog. I'm not sure about cats, because I've never lived with them. I sleep on the couch at night, travel good in a car, and walk good on a leash. I know "sit" and I'm very responsive when a treat is in front of me, so I know I could learn a lot more tricks with the right owner. I'm extremely smart, very loyal, and I think I'm a lap dog. Hello Everyone my name is Cha Cha, Matipoo. I'm aprox 2-3 yrs old, 10 lbs and an obvious female. My foster mom found me at the VA parking lot at a very busy time and I was slightly and lightly hit 3 times. We've been to a vet and nothing was broken. We got our shots and heartworm testing (neg) only waiting on Robinson's for Spaying.. I like other animals and kids however I still have a little PTSD and sometimes become scared.
