Meet Oreo ❤️: Oreo is a handsome black lab who recently came to pet savers, needing a second chance and a little extra patience. Shelter life has been overwhelming for him and he’s feeling insecure while he learns that people can be kind and safe again. Despite his shy nature, Oreo has started building trust with our female volunteers and staff members. He truly enjoys spending time with them playing in the yard and soaking up gentle attention. Watching him slowly come out of a shell has been incredibly rewarding. While he’s not comfortable with other dogs right now, we are actively working on socialization and helping him gain confidence every day. Oreo has already been neutered, micro chipped, and brought up-to-date on vaccines. He also tested heartworm positive., but has already begun the slow kill treatment method. What Oreo needs most is a calm, patient home with someone willing to give him the time and understanding he deserves. Beneath that uncertainty as a loyal dog, waiting to feel safe and loved again.
